Tuesday's Top 5 reasons i like the new show happy town

so i went to hulu the other day, one of my very favorite sites on these here interwebs, cause i get to watch tv, shows i can't see on my tv, cause i won't pay for local channels on the directv, anyways, was on hulu and seen a preview for happy town, looked interesting and when i went to the page and one of the tags was twin peaks, now i loved twin peaks, so i decided to check out the show, i subscribed to it, and since i didn't have time to watch it right then, i had to watch Glee again, i decided to wait till i could watch it.  today was that day.........................

1. So reminds me of Twin Peaks - where is the log already?
2. There is this weird symbol around town, a question mark with a halo - there are people missing, and a banner is put up with their pictures and this weird symbol, that is also around town and (spoiler alert) on someone who you wouldn't think.....not so much a spoiler but a hint. 
3. Who is Chloe - don't know yet, but the sheriff mentions her alot, without anyone else knowing what he is talking about.
4. Sam Neil - he is playing a strange (maybe) british man, don't know what is up with him yet, but i'm intrigued.
5. oh someone got killed with a huge nail right through the head! - right at the beginning of the show and i think it was the serial killer/kidnapper that went underground 5 years before, i want to know!

Tuesday's Top 5 favorite books i read last year

so my top five has been mostly about movies and tv, today's will be about books. books you say? i am an avid reader, and please don't give me a good book, cause i will be usless till i have read the whole thing. books take over my life, i know i can just put it down and pick it back up where i left off, nothing will have changed (well it shouldn't, and if you don't know what i mean read number on my list), but for some reason, i can not put down the book till i have found out what happened. now if i don't have time to read i try not to even start a book, cause seriously they are like drugs to me. lol ol (monk reference!) so here we go




my top five books i have read in the past year

1. The Eyre Affair - (all the thursday next novels in general) wonderful book by jasper fforde, really great, i love thursday, she is my hero, i can't wait till the next one comes out.

2. Boneshaker - great steampunk book, i love steampunk, i love everything about neo-victorian-post apocalyptic. but if you are not steampunk crazy like i am i think you will still enjoy this book, it is set in seattle 20 years after the civil war SHOULD have ended. really enjoyable if you like altered history, or just a really good zombie book, yes zombies, i can't hardly get enough of them!

3. Go-Go Girls of the apocalypse - loved it so much, not so much the apocalypse, but a good read. the other books by this author look great too, can't wait to read them

4. Odd Hours - i love odd thomas, i have read all of his books, well they are books by dean konnz, but every one with odd is great. the skills he has with the dead are great, ones i personally would not give money or love to have.

5. Fables - they are a series of graphic novels. for anyone who ever read fairy tales as a child, or had the stories told to them. the fables, or fairy tales are refugees and are living in new york city, they have a block to themselves, and it is called fabletown, fables who can't pass as mudy's (mudane humans) or can't afford glamours have to live on the farm in upstate new york where no one can see them. i love this series and would recommend it to everyone who read them as a child.

Tuesday's Double Shot Top 5 staring Will Ferrell

i love will ferrell, he is a genius when it comes to the super funny.  anytime i feel horrible, well i can watch one of his movies and guess what, i laugh my ass off.  so today i am giving you a double shot of some awesome with 2 top 5's featuring the man himself!

1. Step Brothers - i love this movie soooooooooooooooooooo much.  it is one of the funniest things ever! in the whole world. there is not one part of this movie that i do not love.  my favorite of favorites?  the fight and the aftermath, no tv for a week!
2. Old School - great movie, he made the whole movie, well him and vince vaughn, luke wilson is ok, funny yes, but he's no will ferrell.
3. Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - watched this last night on tv, cause my dvd of it went missing, (birthday gift idea alert!!!) so so so funny.  and i need a crystal gail t-shirt too!
4. A Night at the Roxbury - classic!  so funny.
5. Bewitched - yes bewitched, loved it, nicole kidman and will ferrell were so good together.

1. Brennan Huff - what can i say about my fav character from my fav movie?  it's the fucking catalina wine mixer!
2. Chazz Michael Michaels - the bad boy of men's figure skating!  love the tats!
3. Ricky Bobby - in my next life i will name my kids walker and texas ranger. lol
4. Frank "the tank" Ricard - who doesn't love frank the tank?
5. Mustafa - i love him in the austin powers movies

Tuesday's Top 5 reasons why i was like OMG!! when i watched spartacus (sand and blood) saturday night

well, as you may know from previous blog entries, spartacus is one of my fave tv shows right now, i watch it every week and can't wait till the next episode, cause really it is kinda hard to keep up with if you don't pay attention.  there are alot of diffrent plots going on, and a ton of people to keep track of, and with the roman names, whoa.  but last nights episode was CRAZY!!!  so here we go

1. Guy that gets his Head POPPED OFF! -  not kidding, spartacus and varro are chained together in the arena, and after they kill all the other guys there is a huge guy that they have to kill, and he is big and tough, but they come up with a plan, very clever i think, they wrap the chain around his neck and pull, very gross and yucky, but not expected, i was OMG about it.
2. Varro's Wife is Found - which i was glad to see, i was a upset, and did not like him, when he was mad at her for getting knocked up from being attacked by a merchent in the market.  but after spartacus talked to him about it, he knew he was wrong, and tried to contact her, to no avail, but during this episode she is found, and they make up.  it was really sweet.
3. Batiatus has a bust of Spartacus made -  not so OMG you say, but you didn't see what else was attached to it, lets just say it was his junk.  when i noticed that, all i could say was WHAT?!?! why? but i guess that is just how they are.
4. BIG OMG PART HERE..............Spartacus has to kill Varro - i was looking between fingers, i couldn't watch, but had to see what happened, crixus was suposed to fight instead of varro, but the bratty kid whos party it was had been coursed by illythia to choose varro instead, it was supoosed to be an exibition only, but after varro finds himself on the pointy end of spartacus' sword, the brat chooses for varro to die, and batiatus has to say yes because he wants to be in politics and the brats father is the way he can get there, so spartacus has to kill his best friend in the whole world, someone who is close as a brother............but varro plunged the sword into his chest himself, to save spartacus, and charged spartacus with taking care of his wife and child, soon to be two children, then spartacus has to finish putting thw swoard into varro, it was sad.
5. Batiatus is on the Warpath -  after the brats father tells Batiatus that he will never be a senetor, well he is pissed, and i am pretty sure lots of people will die.

Tuesday's Top 5 reasons i love barney stinson!

as i have mentioned before i love the show how i met your mother.  well my favorite character on the show is barney, ted is alright, kinda gets on my nerves, but the show is kinda about him, i love lily and marshall, and robin, come on? robin sparkles? right? but barney is the awesomest ever. here are my top 5 reasons that i love him so much!

1. The Suits! - it's time to suit up! in the battle of suits vs. chicks, well suits won, and i am not suprised, look how dapper he is in a suit
2. The Blog - have you seen the blog!?!? if not check it out, barney brings his legen- wait for it -dary! voice to the internet.
3. Never* Takes a Bad Picture - as proved this last week, how could you not love that? unless your robin.
4. Musical Numbers - the man can sing! he brings it.
5. The Suits! - i thought they needed to be mentioned twice

Tuesday's Top 5 tv shows i am loving right now

ok, so i love tv, i love it love it love it, i was raised on tv, it was my babysitter, and i have been hooked on it forever. i watch quite a bit of it, which i shouldn't but hey, i love it so much. anyways............. right now most of the shows i watch regularly are not on, end of season and whatnot, but these are shows that are on right now and i love them!

1. How I Met Your Mother - this will be on every list of tv shows i love cause i love it that much, thanks nancy for introducing me to my tv soulmate, lol. if i miss an episode, i will die. thank goodness cbs posts it online, cause i don't get that channel. did i mention i love barney, i will have a list dedicated just to him soon!
2. Castle - awesome show, i love nathan fillion, he is such an underrated actor, he is awesomeness squared. i love him in everything he is in, firefly anyone? the first season of this was kinda predictable, the writing wasn't the best, but i knew it had potential, and lo and behold, it delivered, season two rocks my socks right off. and it spins me right round too! lol. very clever, i love the characters, and did i mention, heat wave read it!
3. Spartacus - new on stars right now, pretty good show, but blows my mind too, people actually lived that way. i couldn't imagine it, even on the show when they have parts about well, if you watch the show you know, and i just can't fathom it, but they lived that way, besides all that, awesome show. plus hot guy alert!!!!
4. Anthony Bordain : No Reservations - OMG!!!! i love tony! i would love to hang out with him, he is so cool. i try to never miss the show, and i love reruns. snarky tony is the best, but i also like it when he is nice. plus i love all the places he goes, and if i ever have enough money to travel, i will def go to his site to see the awesome places to go.
5. Entourage - this show is running on spike tv now, i never saw it on hbo, but i love this show so sososososososo much. i love the characters, the storylines, and my fave character? turtle :) i heart turtle, lol i also love drama, you either want to smack his face or hug him, or both at the same time. i am glad spike is running it, except when they don't run it on the day they are suposed to and i miss it. not good spike, not good.

Tuesday's Top 5 Movies I won't get up to go pee while watching!

ok, so there are movies and then there are movies that no matter what, if i can't pause it, i will not get up during the movie, on long movies this sucks, but the whole thing is just so good, there isn't a moment when i can say, alright this is a little boring, i can get up now. here is a top 5 list of movies i will not get up during, unless i absolutely have to.

1. Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - At World's End-- how much do i love this movie? well i love it almost as much as i love my family!
2. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist - i seriously can not get enough of this movie, i love it, specially the Yugo!
3. Say Anything - oh john cusack in one of his best roles, i love you lloyd dobbler!
4. Dirty Dancing - loved it since i was a little girl, no one puts baby in the corner.......or tuesday cause johnny castle will come and get her! lol
5. The Boondock Saints - i hadn't seen this movie, until recently, and omg dudes, this movie is great, i love it, i wanted to see the sequel, but i am a stickler, have to see the movies in order, and boy am i glad, i didn't even get up to get a drink, even though i was really thirsty, i was gonna ask my husband to get me one, but i didn't even notice when he got up, so i waited! lol
